Learn how to renew a Professional Educator Certification or reinstate a Professional Educator Certification in Nebraska
Your Initial Teaching Certificate in Nebraska is valid for five years, after which time it must be renewed online. You must submit proof of completing either six semester hours of college credit at an approved Nebraska institution, or uninterrupted teaching experience with a Nebraska school within the past five years. Submit either the Verification of Experience form or the Institutional Recommendation Form based upon which of these requirements you meet.
